After the horrible terrorist attack on the The World Trade Center on 9/11/2001 where American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 crashed in the Twin Towers, security became more strict to prevent an accident like this to ever happen again.

If you think about it all that's gone on with planes like the 9-11 thing....and many other things that have happened with weapons on airplanes because of poor security....
