Well in the 75th hunger games arena, Johanna helped Katniss leave the arena alive leaving herself behind to be captured by the Capitol. In Mockingjay, Katniss devises a plan to save all the captured Victors consisting of Peeta, Johanna, Annie Cresta (district 4) and Enobaria (district 2). She is then saved by a group that includes Gale. She returns and is immediately sent to hospital for treatment. Later on in the book, Johanna and Katniss develope more of a relationship become friends after Katniss returns from District 2 after being shot. After a few chapters, Johanna is no longer a talking character, but instead is only mentioned every now and then.
