there have been
The United States has not declared war on another country since World War Two. All military adventures since then have been referred to as 'police actions'. Answer Yes, they are recognised as wars
World War 1 and World War 2 were the last declared wars that the US participated in.I'm sure however that there have been small regional warsafter World War 2, that the US did not participate in that were declared wars by the regional participants in those wars.

Misinformed people believe un-declared wars aren't real wars; which makes the US Civil War also a "conflict" since the American Civil War was NOT a declared war either.
The United States HASN'T fought a declared war since World War II. The atomic bomb has restricted the US to limited wars and Military Operations. A "Declared War" implies TOTAL WAR...which means using atomic weapons. Which is why there's been NO declared wars since WWII. If the individual in question was inducted by the US Army and then drafted into the USMC, that's still part of the United States Government.
Practically all the wars, local or otherwise, in the Western world since the 16th century and almost all the wars on this whole planet since the 17th century. They are too numerous to count.
Some major conflicts and wars in Europe since World War II include the Cold War, the Balkan Wars, the conflicts in Northern Ireland, and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
There have no declared US wars since the end of WW2.
The guts n the courage
The War of 1812 against Britain was a declared war. The War against Spain was declared. The Korean War was man's FIRST atomic age war (the atomic age commenced in 1945 with the detonation of the first atomic bombs); declared wars, which infer total wars, can no longer be fought, as total wars require the use of ALL available weapons such as nuclear weapons (chemical weapons are banned by treaty since 1925). The Korean War was a limited war (limited to non-nuclear weapons) and not a declared war; NO US FOUGHT WAR HAS BEEN A DECLARED WAR SINCE WW2; the dawn of the Atomic Age. the number of declared wars by congress is 5 they are : The War of 1812 (1812-1815) , The Mexican War (1846-1848) , The Spanish-American War (1898-1899), World War I (1917-1918), World War II (1941-1945)
did it end in 1945 has there been anymore wars since the 2nd world war
Afghanistan has been in 87 wars since 1896
