There is no way to change the trip computer to display MPG, except perhaps in the service centre, since the dashboard LCD which displays mileage is universal for metric and imperial countries (has both km and mile segments for displaying gas mileage).
To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change [approximately 5,000 miles (8,000 km) or 180 days] perform the following: 1. Tap on the ODO/TRIP button to toggle the display between the odometer and trip odometer. 2. Tap on the ODO/TRIP button again to toggle the display between the trip odometer and OIL LIFE XX% display. 3. Press and hold the ODO/TRIP button for ten seconds or more to display OIL LIFE 100%. Your oil life is now reset. 4. Tap on the ODO/TRIP button to return the display to odometer.
You turn the trip odometer button on the dash.
