Why holography needs lasar?

It is L.A.S.E.R. Light Amplification Stimulated by the Emission of Radiation. In a LASER there is only one wavelength of light. In a hologram the LASER beam is split. Part is sent directly to the unexposed photographic film and part of the beam is sent to the image being recorded. They meet at the film and the interference patterns generate the 3-d image. There are newer methods that use white light.
