We consider ourselves to be the highest form of animal because

1. We have yet to meet another animal that, by our standards, is equal to or "higher" than us.
The standards by which we judge this are entirely subjective, however, and are based more on survival and selfishness than anything else.
2. Is allows us to justify our actions, towards other animals, the planet, and to each other on the short term.

This style of thinking is outmoded, we would be better served to remember that we're just another step in evolution - one that might be a dead end, and that other species are evolving as well.

As for being at the top of the food chain, there are still things that can eat us. And scientifically, the nice at the top of the food chain is now being occupied by various viruses and bacteria.

Human being is the highest form of animal?

One of the most controversial issue that researchers argued for they have their own beliefs and opinions. Some of us may agree and some of us will don't. We all know that all animals, human beings and living things in this world are created by God. We human have to think of ourselves as special group but we really do have a lot of common with the other animals. To prove that human being is the "highest form of animals" here's one of the research concerning about the DNA of a human and a chimpanzee.

Human or human beings are bipedal primates belonging to the mammalian species Homo sapiens comes from the Latin word "wise man" or "knowing man". According to the studies, the closest relatives of Homo sapiens are the common chimpanzee and the Bonobo. They say that "the difference between chimpanzee and humans are just 10 times greater than those between two unrelated people and 10 times less than those between rats and mice". In fact the human and chimpanzee DNA is 96% identical to each other. This study makes stronger when they found some fossils that shows the transformed views of how we became humans. Wise men, psychologist, philosophers and theologians discovered that as time passes the evolution of man started. The process of evolution involves a series of natural changes that causes species to arise, adapt to the environment and become extinct. Evolution occurs when there is change in genetic material.

DNA cannot be denied. It will not have a 96 percent outcome if we do not have "something in common". Some of us were convinced cause fossils is such evidence but it's not easy to accept for it is a "bit little serving to the Ego of Mankind".In my opinion, we human can be considered as the "highest form of animals" in terms of our senses, our body and some of our skills and attitude. Human is consisting of most advanced and most developed organ systems. According to the evolution of man, we human beings came from apes -it's just that we developed much larger brain and possess more skills than other animals for we are a product of our environment and because we want to adapt in the quick change of our environment. We have the ability to think and response to stimuli. Through social learning, we learn the act of reasoning; problem solving, rational thinking and we learn how to build our own culture.

But I really do believe that we are superior among other animals because we have distinguishing characteristics that sets us apart from animals, including our way of thinking, feeling and acting, which humans tend to have naturally, independently of the influence of culture. We can predict the outcomes of our actions and controls ourselves accordingly. We can communicate to each other by means of language, exchanging and sharing ideas.

Human beings are not perfect and never will be, but we are special and unique among the animal kingdom. We are capable of making judgments about our own and other people's behavior, and have the capacity consciously to change the way we behave and society as whole.

Though Science cannot completely resolved the true concept about where we came from it's not important if we believe that human beings are ensembles from animals such as chimpanzees and gorillas what important is the human race is a higher life form above all the animals because each human being is made in God's image.
