There are many reasons to attend a seminar. First and foremost - seminars are the quickest and easiest way to obtain vital information that can effect your ability to do your job. They provide quick fixes to simple problems and often provide just enough motiviation to enable you to get the job done quickly and efficiently. More practically, seminars provide attendees with continuing education credits and many professionals are required to continually upgrade their education to enable them to better handle their job. Many professions including Accountants and financial planners, for example, require their members to take a required number of continuing education credits to maintain their credentials and continue to practice their profession. Some organizations require continuing education classes to justify pay raises and promotions. But whatever the reason seminar attendance affords the opportunity to interact with others who share the same problems and are seeking the same solutions. It is an ideal way to network with others in your field who are not working with you directly. It is a great way to exchange information and experiences in a non-threatening situation.
