bluetooth is actually short range 2.4 GHZ signal which is high tech but short range (only short range in bluetooth). the wifi most ppl use is 2.4GHZ. think about that. objects obstruct infrared

Provides an infrared port for wireless communication?

Infrared ports, or IRDA, are on many laptops, PDAs and some phones. This is just like BlueTooth or Wifi, but slower. Two PDAs can exchange data this way quite easily.

Are the windows 7 phones sluggish?

I've tried one and they seem quite fast. Slower than some Android devices and the iPhone 4, but faster than phones running Windows Mobile 6.5. Windows Mobile still uses the registry so the more applications installed, the slower the device.

Do x-rays travel slower than infrared?

No, x-rays travel faster than infrared radiation. X-rays have higher energy and shorter wavelengths, allowing them to travel at the speed of light in a vacuum while infrared radiation has longer wavelengths and travels at a slower speed.

What type of wave that are used by mobile phones?

Cellular phone signals are carried by radio waves, which are like visible light waves only much slower and longer. Commonly used frequencies are between 800 and 900 megahertz, but some phones use frequencies as high as 2 gigahertz.

Why we connect two PC by a cable to transfer the data instead of Bluetooth networking?

Very few computers come with BlueTooth, so you are left with connections via cable. Even if you had BlueTooth it would be a lot slower than using the cable connection.

Is the frequency slower than light infrared?

First off, frequency isn't a measure of speed, so infrared light is neither faster, nor slower than any other type of light. Second, infrared light is just that, LIGHT, so, its frequency is different than that of other lights, but it's not less than "light" because that wouldn't make any sense at all. With that cleared out of the way, yes, the frequency of infrared light is less than that of visible light.

What are the best blackberry phone upgrades?

The best Blackberry phone upgrades would be the newest Blackberry phones available because all of the other phones will be outdated technology and may run slower.

What is the science behind phones?

An oversimplification would be to say that mobile phones are nothing more than a radio transmitter and receiver operating at the same time and using a digital form of communication where a small radio time-slice is allotted to each conversation in the same cellular area. Your slice is repeated quickly and often and your mobile selects it alone, giving rise to a slower digital audio voice stream similar to that from a CD player. Microphone and speaker give you the conversation whereas buttons and other information is sent as a data component.

Can you connect wireless to the internet with a PDA other than WiFi?

Bluetooth and WiFi are the two most dominant wireless technologies to choose from for personal connection. (I'll assume you PDA is not a cellular phone) If you don't want to use WiFi, then Bluetooth is really your only option. You can setup your Computer which also must have Bluetooth as a Bluetooth modem. You can then connect from your PDA to your Computer via the Bluetooth connection and to the internet. This however will be significantly slower than WiFi and the distance you can travel form your computer will be short.

What are the differences between infrared and convection heating methods?

Infrared heating uses electromagnetic waves to directly heat objects, while convection heating relies on the circulation of air to transfer heat. Infrared heating is more efficient and heats up quickly, while convection heating is slower but provides more even heating throughout a space.

Can you use a droid as a modem and connect to a laptop?

Purchase the PDA net application for android, use the USB cable to connect to the PC for fastest speed - can also use Bluetooth but it is slower.

Where is visible light found in the electromagnetic spectrum?

Electromagnetism is manifest along a continuum between slower radio waves and faster energy gamma waves. Visible light can be found in the range between infrared light (slower than waves of visible light) and ultraviolet light (faster than waves of visible light).
