They're unable to create large enough boosters because they're too far north. The closer to the equator, the less fuel (and boost) a vehicle needs to enter earth orbit because the spinning earth gives the vehicle an additional boost. The earth doesn't spin as fast the further you get from the equator.
Armstrong went to the Moon in 1969
RUSSIA
Yes he was.
Russia never put a man on the moon. The United States is the only country to have successfully landed astronauts on the moon, during the Apollo missions between 1969 and 1972.
The United States was in the Space Race with Russia. Russia sent its first man in space first, but the United States retaliated and sent Neil Armstrong to the moon, making him the first man on the moon.
The Russians claim that the American story of sending a man to moon is specious.
The US responded to the USSR sending a man to space by increasing funding for their own space program, NASA, and accelerating their efforts to send a man to the moon. This led to the Apollo program and ultimately, the US successfully landing the first humans on the moon in 1969.
Russia was the first country to land an unmanned spacecraft on the moon. The United States provided the first man on the moon.
The Peace Corp was the program that JFK was successful in passing.
Russia to put a man in orbit US to put on the moon
neil armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon but russia had the first man in space so we were in a compitition
The Americans launched the Apollo 11 mission because they were in the 'Space Race' with Russia, and they didn't want Russia to win. However, the Apollo 11 mission was in fact a hoax. Russia had the technology to actually put a man on the moon, but the money. For America, it was the other way round. So America said that they would put a man on the moon by 1970, and in 1969, they launched the crew into the air, but not actually on the moon.
