Probably because of the racist white people still not wanting to give us Alaska natives our land back and how the government is benefiting off of the land of Alaska. So Alaska should become its own state (Alaska is its own state but the U.S. still owns it) and not a part of the U.S.
Because Alaska was originally part of Canada, then Russia bought, then sold it to America.
It is not in, and has never been in Canada. It was purchased from Russia.
The US bought it from the Russians in 1867.
Because we (The U.S.) bought it for about $8,000 a few years ago.
When the USA claimed the section of land we call Alaska, The parts of Canada around it had already been claimed and had formed its own government.
Because it purchased it from Russia.
Russia
Alaska because it is a State and not a country.
Alaska; it is not a country (but a state).
Alaska is still a state in the United States of America.
Both of them are part of the United States of America.
It belongs to the United States of America. It is one of the 'states' of America. It didn't always belong to America. It used to belong to Russia, but America bought it. Exactly how America moved Alaska all the way from Russia to America is a mystery and probably one of the wonders of modern technology!
