Why is Andrew Jackson a Villain?

He is considered a villain by people because of his treatment to the Native Americans.

He is responsible for the "Trail of Tears" in which he removed Native Americans from their homeland and put them in reservations.

Also, during the Civil War , he was on the south's side and many see that as being a traitor to America. he is a villain because he sent all the indians east

He most certainly is not a villain in the usual sense of the word. He spent most of his life in public service and was a popular president who especially served the common people .

Like anybody who does anything of any consequence, he had opposition and made political enemies and undoubtedly even made some mistakes, but a villain he never was!

Michellxx: people have different opinions on jackson. he was considered a hero because of the war. BUT he was also viewed as a villain because of the fact that he caused the trail of tears and the way he used and mistreated the indians. he was also racist. theres many reasons why he was viewed as a villain and many why viewed as a hero . theres no right answer .

He was a hero and a leader. Like any strong leader, he believed he was right and justified in pushing his views. He also had a fiery temper which sometimes led to confrontations, but he was not a villain.
