Well you've heard of the north and south pole right? well, Antarctica (south pole) is at the bottom of the earth- there, there is hardly any sun causing it to be a cold place. Ice forms because of the cold. The same happens with the north pole. The way the earth faces when it orbits the sun means that those two poles don't get much sun- but global warming is melting these poles, if the ice caps melt then the whole world could be flooded. Global warming is when our atmosphere is being ruined by pollution,cow flatulence etc.
It would be a good idea to research global warming in depth because it is a very large, opinionated subject.
