Why is Apple doing away with the headphone jack in the iPhone 7?

There are a couple of reasons, the main one being waterproofing. The iPhone 7 is supposed to be much more water resistant than previous models. By taking away ports, they are able to better seal the phone. You will still be able to listen to music through headphones, they will just need to be Bluetooth.
