How is Barack Obama a bad leader?

According to current polls he has a very favorable rating by US citizens, especially when you compare that to his predecessor's ratings and to the current ratings of Congress, who are holding up many of the president's plans just to keep it from seeming like he has done the good things he has. They are doing this for political reasons to make him look bad and have used political tricks to stop his plans by holding a record number of filibusters in Congress to block implementation.

He is not considered a terrible president by anyone who has actually researched his accomplishments. His political opponents are the ones saying he has been a terrible president. See the related question below about what very many people think he has done right as president.

I'm going to answer this question the same as I answered the mirror opposite question ("Why is Obama a good president?") - your question is not well-written and can't really be answered. It has an inherent conclusion in the question (that is, you've already judged Obama as "bad"), and is looking for supporting facts/opinions.

Rather, you should be asking "What are some good ideas/strategies/laws/things that the Obama administration has accomplished?" and then the opposite question "What are some mistakes/bad decisions/poor laws/wrong ideas that Obama has made or advocated?". You can then draw upon these two banks of response to make your own conclusion.

Facts before conclusions, folks.

The answer to such a political question (which is actually an opinion) would not be an easy question to answer. In fact, not everyone thinks he is a bad president. Certainly those who didn't vote for him in the first place wouldn't have the highest opinion of him (like me). It is always difficult to asses the good and bad of a presidency while an individual is in office, since the results of the policies a president undertakes are often not fully realized until much later. In addition, many of the current policies and events are just the fruition of some past president. To expand on the earlier statement that I don't have the highest opinion of him, I would begin simply by saying that Obama's world views tend to exist on the opposite end of the spectrum from my own. I believe in a smaller government and more rights of the people. He seems to want the government to take a much larger role than I would like. He would sacrifice some of our freedom for some comfort if he were left unchecked. IMO, this is bad. We the people are always quick to take handouts, but the best thing for everyone is to work hard and provide for themselves. He also stands on different moral ground as I. I probably don't have to get into specifics as far as morality is concerned. The moral issues in politics are well known.

This question calls for an opinion, and here is mine. I do not believe President Obama is "unfit." He has proved himself as a capable leader, and has many accomplishments during his first term. I do not agree with everything he has done, but he has made a number of very difficult decisions and handled some crisis situations. Thus, there is no evidence that he is "unfit" for the office of the presidency. I do understand that my conservative Republican friends dislike him and they wish he were not the president. But disagreeing with someone's policies does not mean the person is "unfit." It just means you do not like his political views.
