It's not necessarily "better". The Disney World complex is larger than the Disneyland one, but whether this means it's "better" or not is a matter of opinion.
The Magic Kingdom (at Disney World) and Disneyland (proper) are essentially the same with minor differences.
Disneyland doesn't have Epcot Center or the Animal Kingdom. On the other hand it does have Knott's Berry Farm just up the road (which, if you're into the thrill rides, is probably better) and the Los Angeles and San Diego Zoos (and the San Diego Wild Animal park) ... and the California Science Center (does Epcot have anactual space shuttle? no, they don't) not terribly far away, which, again, depending on your personal tastes, might, again, be better.
Disneyland doesn't have Disney's Hollywood Studios. It just has Disney's California Adventure and, y'know, is near the actualHollywood. So again, depending on what you like ... the sanitized bowdlerized Disney version or the real thing ... it could go either way.
Yes, Walt Disney World is much larger than Disneyland.30,000 acres vs 160 acres4 theme parks vs 2 theme parks20 Disney-owned hotels vs 3 Disney-owned hotels
The Los Angeles Disney World is much bigger than the Orlando Disneyland actually. However, the Orlando Disneyland is the very original that was built when Walt Disney was still alive.
Depends on your preference. Disneyland is the original theme park, but Disney World is like 4-5 times bigger and makes it harder and longer to be able to ride and/or visit nearly every attraction
I went to both Disney parks and Disny World Florida is WAY bigger though Disney Land is the origanal. ITS WALT DISNEY WORLD IN FLORIDA AND DISNEY LAND IN CALIFORNIA I HAVE BEEN TO BOTH TO AND IT ONLY TOOK ME A DAY AND A HALF TO DO EVERYTHIND AT DISNEY LAND AND ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF TO DO EVERYTHING AT WALT DISNEY WORLD Disneyland has two parks - Disneyland (original) and California Adventure -- and a decent size shopping area -- Downtown Disney. I did most of the big stuff in both parks in one day in California back in July -- but I had no children with me. Disney World in Florida has four theme parks, two water parks and a huge shopping area. The Magic Kingdom is larger than Disneyland in California. EPCOT has two areas -- Future World and the World Showcase. The World Showcase has a lagoon in it which could hold the Magic Kingdom. The Studios is the smallest park. Animal Kingdom is bigger than EPCOT. My whole family went in June to Florida -- set up 10 today days with a 7 day Park Ticket and we were shortchanged on time for the Studios, only did 1/2 day at Animal Kingdom, and did everything we wanted to do at least twice at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. Had a spa day and a shopping day -- and just had a blast.Disney WORLD is in Florida, Disney LAND is in California
This is just my opinion but.... Yes. Walt Disney wanted to redo his amusement park in a more controlled environment (due to the cruel weather, busy cities, and tacky restaurants and cheap hotels surrounding the California park.) Orlando had year-round good weather and, before Disney, was just a small town of marsh, and swampland. Walt Disney World is larger and more remote than Disneyland. However, Disneyland is still considered the best due to many memories of childhood and, it is the only park which Walt saw fully built before his death in 1966. But, the truth is, which everyone you're going to... it will be a blast! I assure you.
yes
Depends on your preference. Disney World is larger, but the rides are different than the "originals" at Disneyland

Yes, or i know for sure Disney world but more than likely Disneyland also
Disneyland. It was built under the supervision of Walt Disney himself. Disney World was a dream of Walt's and he even began purchasing the land in Florida under various false company names, however, it wasn't even built until after the death of Walt Disney.

There are a lot more than four. There's Disneyland Tokyo, DisneySea Tokyo, Disneyland Hong Kong, Disneyland Paris, Disneyland (the original) and Disney's California Adventure in California, and the four parks at Walt Disney World in Florida (The Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT). As of Summer 2016, there will also be a Disneyland Singapore.
Its near impossible to say. Disney World is vast and you need a week to see it. Disneyland is more walk friendly and has so much to see. Indiana Jones Adventure is in Disneyland and not Disney World and that is one of the best rides in the world. Also Disneyland has history it was the first "theme park" and its is maintained and managed debatable better than Walt Disney World but both are a blast and both are just as good as the other in other ways. I would advise you to wait to visit Disneyland until next year as Disney s other theme park there Disney California Adventure is undergoing a major rehabilitation which intails amazing new things being added so right now you would just see allot of construction instead of the cool new additions that will be open next spring.

It is a tie with Tokyo's and California's Disneylands. They are approximately the same size. Both of them are bigger than 3 acres. Walt Disney World, in Florida, is much larger than Disneyland in California.
