Attorney Beckwith may be gone, but he is not forgotten. His accomplishments have been noted in several libraries in the state of Indiana. He was nominated by the state of Indiana as their favorite son at both the 1960 and 1964 Republican National Convention. Additionally, he was an unheralded leader of civil rights in Indiana from the 1930's until his death in 1965.
