Fredrick Douglass was born in February of the year 1818. He was born on a small farm downLewistown Rd. , Tuckahoe, near Easton, in Talbot County, Maryland.

Fredrick Douglass became famous for a newspaper the North Star that he published for 17 entire years. He also helped Harriet Beecher Stowe establish a school for young, uneducated black youth. Fredrick was a man of outstanding character.
