Why is Jesus importent?

Jesus is the Lord and Savior. He is the Son of God. He came to earth, and taught His people (commonly known as the Disciples) the Word of God (aka, The Bible). He is the best known teacher in the world, even after 2,000 years! He taught to love one another, and promised He would save the world from Hell by dying and then raising Himself from the dead. Science says this is not possible, but they have found the tomb, and many other artifacts that prove the Bible is true, and that Jesus did in fact exist. Three days after He was crucified on the Cross, an awful death, He rose from the dead. Just like He said He would. He showed His scars from the nails that had hung Him to the cross to His disciples. He gave us the most amazing gift that can be given. He gave us the gift of eternal life. If you recognize Him as the Lord and Savior, God's Son, who died and rose again to save you from sin. John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
He said he was the son of God:

Luk 22:70 Then they all said, "Are You then the Son of God?" So He said to them, "You rightly say that I am."

He died as a sacrifice for sin:

Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Heb 10:12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,

Salvation comes through believing and accepting Him as savior:

Joh 8:24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."

Jesus is important cause he saved us from our sins. Sin is anything you think say or do that displeases God. God first created Adam and Eve. They lived in the Garden of Eden. He had made them perfect. He only gave them one rule, don't eat from the tree of good and evil. Well Eve ate from that tree and offered it to Adam. That's how sin entered into the world. Adam and Eve were very ashamed of their selves. They were kicked out of the Garden. And so we weren't going to be able to go to heaven. But god sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Now every one of us can go and live with him only if you ask him into your heart.

Because he died on the cross, and took the place of you as he took each and every one of your sins upon him and took the wrath of God upon him. He shouldn't have to have been on that cross, but because he was, you and me can now live with him and for him eternally, even on earth.

Jesus is important to Christians, as the believe he is the divine Son of God, and that by his death Christians are assured a place in heaven. As the founder of the world's largest religion, his importance goes beyond faith and ensures him a place in history.
