Karl Von Müller was Captain of the German light cruiser SMS Emden which was used during the I. World War till she was beaten by a superior ship "the Sydney". Karl Von Muller is called the gentleman of the war since he and crew of the Emden behaved well to captured prisoners providing them the best conditions available in wartime. It was so appreciated that when the prisoners were to leave the Emden, they all gave cheer for the ship crew although they were enemy.
