What hotels are highly recommended in South Lake Tahoe?

I think when you are talking about Lake Tahoe in general you are talking about spending a pretty penny on lodging. However, like most resort areas in Nevada, if they can get you in the door, they can hopefully take your money. So, many places may offer deals on lodging, especially if you stay more than one night. Check the yellow pages or interweb for the best deals.

What road routes will you pass if i go to Nevada from California?

Depends on the route you choose, and on your destination and origination. Nevada and California share a 400-mile border, so there are dozens of "correct answers". From Reno to Sacramento, take I-80. From Lake Tahoe to Sacramento, US Highway 50. From Las Vegas to Los Angeles, I-15 would be the most direct route.

On what lake was the boniva commercial filmed?

Is is Lake Tahoe? No, it is Bear Lake, Utah (I think). revrwmartin@yahoo.com. From how high the dock is over the water, apparently only large yachts must dock there. pinecamguy@gmail.com. It is definitely Lake Tahoe somewhere near the West Shore. The reason the dock is so high out of the water is that Tahoe has been in a drought for quite some time and hopefully the snow pack of 2010 can help us out in that department. However, it is most definitely Tahoe that the Boniva commercial with Sally Field is filmed in. Come enjoy the beauty !! It's an amazing place. It's definitely Lake Tahoe. Sally Field said it was in an interview with Brian Williams on NBC News. I thought it was at her property in Montana on Flathead lake.

Are there any turtles that live in lake Tahoe?

There are no native turtles in Lake Tahoe, however sometimes pet turtles escape or are released. These rarely live through the winter, so there isn't a noticeable breeding population of any species.

Is North Las Vegas in California?

No, North Las Vegas is about 60 miles away from the border. You may be thinking of Lake Tahoe. This city is in bothstates. It is epecially notable because gambling is legal in only half the city - the Nevada side. On the way to Vegas from California, you will hit a town called Statelineon the 15 freeway. It is a good distance away from Vegas, but for tourists, the Nevada side of the town is the first legal opportunity to gamble so the town is pocked with Hotel-Casinos and even has slot machines in the gas stations, much like the eastern section of Tahoe.
