However, like most resort areas in Nevada, if they can get you in the door, they can hopefully take your money. So, many places may offer deals on lodging, especially if you stay more than one night. Check the yellow pages or interweb for the best deals.

It is definitely Lake Tahoe somewhere near the West Shore. The reason the dock is so high out of the water is that Tahoe has been in a drought for quite some time and hopefully the snow pack of 2010 can help us out in that department. However, it is most definitely Tahoe that the Boniva commercial with Sally Field is filmed in. Come enjoy the beauty !! It's an amazing place. It's definitely Lake Tahoe. Sally Field said it was in an interview with Brian Williams on NBC News. I thought it was at her property in Montana on Flathead lake.

No, North Las Vegas is about 60 miles away from the border. You may be thinking of Lake Tahoe. This city is in bothstates. It is epecially notable because gambling is legal in only half the city - the Nevada side. On the way to Vegas from California, you will hit a town called Statelineon the 15 freeway. It is a good distance away from Vegas, but for tourists, the Nevada side of the town is the first legal opportunity to gamble so the town is pocked with Hotel-Casinos and even has slot machines in the gas stations, much like the eastern section of Tahoe.
