The MBRP exhaust is favored because it has a good fitment and as it is aluminized it will last for a long time. For example in the snow or ice after the road has been gritted.
The best part about MBRP diesel exhaust systems is that they use a reduced amount of diesel so they produce less fumes that will go into the environment. Since there are less fumes, a MBRP vehicle is better to use to reduce your impact on the environment.
An MBRP cat delete pipe is designed to replace the catalytic converter in a vehicle's exhaust system. By removing the catalytic converter, the cat delete pipe can increase exhaust flow, reduce back pressure, and amplify the sound of the exhaust system. However, it is important to note that removing the catalytic converter is illegal in many areas and can result in increased emissions and environmental harm.
no, it will not..a xcr 700 is a triple.....the xcr 440 is a twin
2006 Dodge ram 2500 diesel. I have the edge chip w/attitude, 5" MBRP exhaust AFE stage 2 cold air intake. The best I've got was 19 mpg. 15mpg towing this is with 285 size tires. I was getting 22 mpg with stock 265's.
I wouldn't recommend it. You'll just make it obnoxiously loud and likely lose horsepower due to the lower heat retention in the exhaust. If you would like a different sound there are many aftermarket systems designed for these sleds. SLP, MBRP, PSI and AAEN come to mind... Just be careful and RESPECTFUL!! with them, too many riding areas are no longer because of careless riders on loud sleds.
Before I write much, you must know that diesel engines excel in the torque range, not horsepower. Now, a few common upgrades for more TORQUE can be a tuner. I recommend the computerized SCT tune which will download up to 3 tunes to use on your truck that range from economy to towing. Then, an aftermarket air filter. K&N or Airaid air intake systems will do your 7.3L PowerStroke wonders in not just helping your engine "breathe" better, but increasing power. Another upgrade could be aftermarket exhausts. I recommend the 4 inch MBRP steel piping I had installed on my 6.0L, as it is available for the 7.3L too. I recommend to definetely have the air intake system and the aftermarket exhaust. The tuners range. If you don't want to spend a lot of cash on a tune, you can get a simple power chip. Power chips come from companies like "Power Chips" or "Bully Dog". Hope I helped!
