The Cyclops that Odysseus blinded was the son of Poseidon. The God of the sea. He asked his father to kill Odysseus or do what ever he can to keep him from sailing home. When Odysseus landed on the cyclops island he went inside the cave and fed on cheese and sheep. The cyclops came back to the cave and closed the rock doorway, The cyclops turned around and ate one of Odysseus's' men. Odysseus offered him wine, because it was the drink of the gods. Cyclops took a bowl of wine and slurped it up. He was then drunk,Odysseus took a sword and stabbed the cyclops in his one and only eye. Odysseus used him when he was drunk to move the large boulder out of the doorway. Odysseus and his men escaped from the cave by hanging onto the sheep. The men were off freely without the cyclops knowing. Until, Odysseus had to show off and say something to the cyclops. The cyclops got angry and started to throw rocks at the crew and ship. Luckily, the crew was Abel to get away not touched.
