Basically because it would take as much work to remaster Morrowind or Oblivion as it would take to make a whole new game. Here is Pete Hines (a marketing VP at Bethesda) speaking on the subject in an interview with finder.com.au:
"An Oblivion remaster is an interesting idea, but it is ten-year-old game, and Morrowind is 14." ... "You are talking about several engines ago." ... "So the question becomes, 'should we work on a Morrowind or Oblivion remaster, or should we work on Elder Scrolls VI?'" ... "We have to ask "do we want to take time and resources, and spend money, on something that is already out to bring it to a new platform, or do we want to forge ahead with new stuff?" And in most cases, the answer is that we want to forge ahead with new stuff."
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Remastered should be out on PC, PS4, and Xbox by the end of 2016. Not all of the old mods will work for the new game. Some will have to be reworked.

No, but there are so many mods out there that do the same thing, HD textures, Better Bodies.
You must still have a standard definition TV, and not an HDTV. The compass, menus, and received rewards will not show up or will be cut off on a standard definition TV because Skyrim was formatted for an HDTV. Do what I did, and get an HD!
Well, it depends, most HD computers could. Mac's rarely as their not gaming computers. What type of computer do you have?
Most require you to buy or rent a HD converter box from them, otherwise you will not be getting HD to your HDTV.
ive been told it does but anyone out there with a non hd tv and thinking about getting a hd pvr check properly to make sure
Depends on the graphics you are running on Skyrim, but probably yes.
An Xbox 360 is capable of playing HD movies as long as you have an "Xbox 360 HD player." The Xbox 360 itself can be viewed and played in the HD content. You will need some HD equipment which includes a HD TV (some will say HD ready - meaning 720p, others will say full HD - meaning 1080p). After getting a TV, use a HDMI cable to link your xbox to the TV. This will now show you HD. Any video game can be viewed at the full 1080p HD.
it wouldn't be pretty
your processor (2.10 GHz dual core is best) also needs to be listed
hey there, seeing as though the e-450 is a very low range cpu, it will definatly not run skyrim on high/medium. skyrim is just too detailed. i have the same processor/graphics and my laptop actually does run skyrim on low. just dont expect smooth graphics all the time. what you are trying to do is run an amazingly detailed game on a low power netbook processor. if youre not too bothered with the occasional stutter once in a while it will run, if you want high framerates, even on low settings it will NOT run.
