They are occupied by Red China.
Tibet is not at war with China. The Dalai Lama is engaged in a non-violent protest about the Chinese annexation of Tibet. At this time there is no indication that China will withdraw from Tibet.
china and Tibet
It was 1788-1792
Communist China occupied it.
i don't think there's some difference . it always belong to republic of china until 1953 CCP controlled Tibet ,and 1956 Tibet aotonomous region was founded
Tibet was not neutral. Apx. 200 monks and lamas were fighting in the SS until the siege of Berlin. They were "The volunteers of death" - all of them had fallen.
The war between Nepal and Tibet occurred in the late 18th century, specifically from 1788 to 1792. Tensions arose over territorial disputes, leading to military confrontations. Ultimately, the conflict ended with the Treaty of Betrawati in 1792, which established a boundary and recognized Nepal's influence over certain regions while allowing Tibet to retain its sovereignty.

Tibet Autonomous REGION is the official name of Tibet.
Tibet takes alot of its culture from India and if it were to be owned by anyone the Tibeten people would prefure India. As well as Tibet has native muslim populations which are oppressed in china. The state religion of Tibet is budhism and it has been heavilly oppressed in china, including the banning of reincarnation which was aimed specifically at the Dalai Lama. Tibet strategically though is in between China and India and if Tibet was not owned by China then Tibet would most likely be heavily allied to India and it would allow India to put bases in Tibet. If India has bases in Tibet then India could easily rush China in case of a war. As of right now China can defend there side of the Himmilaya and they would be able to stop India in case of a war, but if India has bases in Tibet, then India could easily take Chinas undefended plains and desert. Tibet is also highly priced by china for its water. China grows rice wich is a water heavy crop. If China gave Tibet up then theyed need water pretty badly. So China owns Tibet because it is a main tool for there survival and Tibet is not free because it isnt really worth anyone elses time to free them except maybe for India but that would only be if there already going to war with India. Looking at the histories of these nations Tibet is far different from China and is the home of the Dalai Lama and China owning Tibet harms the budhist religion. So Tibet should be a independent nation morally because the people of Tibet mostly want it and it is best for them, but Most likely that wont happen in the foreceably future because China will not give up Tibet because it is far to valuable to them.
