What is the pilgrimage of Christians?

A Christian has no pilgrimage (unless you speak in allegories and metaphors). Christians are to worship in Spirit and in truth. The worship of God in this time is not linked to a specific place.

Should all Christians go on a pilgrimage?

No, because it is not commanded in the Bible. All that means is that one should not be coerced in to pilgrimage, it can be a joyful and rewarding experience as in Chaucers day. I have been several times to Jerusalem and have both been a member of a group of pilgrims at Walsingham and a leader of such a group regularly!

What might Christians want do while on pilgrimage?

Christians pray forforgiveness they might have had a bad start in life because they may not have followed Gods 10 commandments but now they want to change so they ask God for furtiveness of their past. To learn more about God, people might not know about God and want to learn more. One way to do this is to go on a pilgrimage because there is so much going on that you cant go away having not learned anything. To show their love for God. People might want to thank God for something, maybe he has done a miracle in their family or has helped them through a hard time or maybe they just want to show him how much they appreciate him always being there for them. Some might be sick or ill and want help getting better, they might have got an illness that is incurable and want to ask God to help but people might also just want help through hard times. A pilgrimage is a great place to go if you want any of these things, so if ever you get the chance then you should take it. A good pilgrimage to go to is Lourdes which was when a girl called Bernadette saw visions of Mary. You also do not have to be catholic to go on pilgrimages as some people think. you can be whatever religion you like!!!!! P.S -

What do christians do on pilgrimage?

The christians that do decide to pilgrimage, most commonly would be Catholics, would walk to a place with spiritual or religious significance. For example, Walsingham is an important place for christians to go because it was believed a woman was visited by the Angel Gabriel and the Virgin Mary in a dream who inspired her to build a replica of Jesus' place where he was born. It also allows christians to connect to G-d on a different (and possibly more spiritual level) than any of the other Christian practices.
