  • World War 2 was the largest, most destructive and deadliest war in the world. It changed people, nations, global relations and the geography of the world.
  • The world was ushered into the nuclear age and the Cold War began.
  • People were never the same again after that war. Some people never recovered from that war. The Germans had to learned to live with democracy and to never ever allow another person/group like Hitler/Nazis to rise to power. They had been told they could never wage war again as they had during the two World Wars.
  • The technological/scientific/computer/medical progress/Space age took off and has not stopped progressing.
  • The United Nations was formed and nations joined. Humanitarianism grew.
  • Military forces continued to progress and improve the way they fought with the least amount of loss of life. The warrior of today has more protection and ways of communicating than ever before.
