The generator can't create energy out of nothingness. It's converting mechanical energy

to electrical energy. That mechanical energy has to come from somewhere ... the steam

that turns the turbine, the wind that turns the sail, the falling water than turns the wheel,

or the arm of the guy who turns the crank.

Why is generator armature harder to rotate when it is connected to a circuit and supplying electric current?

Because a generator extracts energy from whatever is rotating it and passes this (by the electric current it produces) down the circuit to the motor (or light bulb or heater) where it is used. When there is no complete electric circuit, no electricity can flow so no (little) energy is extracted, but when the circuit is closed, electricity does flow and the armature is more difficult to turn.

Is both circuit breaker and circuit gear have same functions?

circuit breaker is break the electrical circuit .circuit gear is generator analyzer

What is the source of voltage in an electrical circuit?

The source of voltage in an electrical circuit is typically a power source, such as a battery or a generator, that provides the energy needed to push electric charges through the circuit.

Which part of the circuit supplies the potential difference in the circuit?

The power source, typically a battery or a generator, supplies the potential difference in the circuit. This potential difference allows charges to flow through the circuit and power the electrical components.

What part of an electrical cicuit produces the electric current?

Either the cell e.g. a battery, if one is included in the circuit. Or a generator such as a dynamo

Converting mechanical energy into electrical energy.?

In electricity generation, an electric generator is a device that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy. A generator forces electric current to flow through an external circuit.

What is meant by an electrical circuit?

An electrical circuit is an electrically conductive path, through which electricity can continuously flow, driven by the voltage of some generator or battery. A circuit is not literally circular in the geometrical sense, and it can have a very complicated shape, but it is circular in effect, because the electric current leaves the generator or battery and then returns to it, and then leaves again, and so forth.

Which area of the generator should an electrician work on?

An electrician should work on the electrical components of the generator, such as the wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and control panels. They are responsible for ensuring that the electrical system is properly installed, functioning correctly, and meets safety standards.

What types of energy can a closed circuit produce?

A closed circuit can produce electrical energy through the flow of electrons in wires, converting other forms of energy into electrical energy. This can include mechanical energy from a generator, chemical energy from a battery, or thermal energy from a thermoelectric generator.

What is a generator breaker?

The generator circuit breaker or gcb is a circuit breaker which is connected with the generator . Whenever there is a fault in the generator the circuit breaker trips and disconnects the generator from operation thus it helps the place from a serious accident etc..

What does the voltage regulator do on a generator?

A voltage regulator controls the output voltage of a generator. This ensures only the specified ÊvoltageÊis supplied thus preventing damage to the circuit and other electrical appliances.Ê

Incase of short circuit will the generator start or not?

Yes the generator engine will start and keep running. The generator has to start before the short circuit is sensed. What happens to the generator section on a short circuit condition is that the generator breaker will trip and disconnect the short circuit on the load. <<>> genarator will not start because of short circuit
