Why is a lunar eclipse a full moon?

have been researching this for ages (2 years) and have found the awnser. the answer is the sun turns around to a certain direction and faces towards the sun and always does this on a full moon but it does this beacause it takes a long time for the sun to turn around and by this time the moon is full.
