Why is animal testing good?

Animal testing is not good, but if you think of it this way, Its better than testing things on you Or any human being. It is a way to make sure that when you take a pill, It wont kill you.

If it wasnt for animals, we probably wouldn't have discovered half the successful drugs and cures made available for us - humans today. animal testing helps us as we cant go around testing drugs and treatments on babies now can we? or would you rather not test anything on anything and never find a cure for aids? cancer? skin disorders? epilepsy? we are all part of 'The Food Chain' , its just the facts of life. if any animal dies in the process of finding a cure, they would be happy knowing they were part of something bigger!

No one knows exactly how many animals are being used in research because U.S. laws do not require scientists to report how many mice, rats, or birds they use, but it's estimated that 90% of lab animals are mice and rats and we have plenty of rats to go around, Rats are also pests which kills native animals like the kiwi. Three or four animals can save more than a million lives. According to sources, animal testing has saved more than 2 billion lives.
