This hose appears to be coming from the back of the heater. The hose is a drain for the air conditioning.u need a heater core.it is inside the black plastic box.some are easy two change.some very hard.
get a new hose
if it has one it is in heater hose at firewall if it has one it is in heater hose at firewall
It is an engine oil coolant hose. It runs to the oil cooler, which is a dual processing unit. Oil flows through one side, and antifreezeengine coolant flows through the other.. The hose you are talking about carried antifreeze to the cooler, and then to the engine. My car has a 4" long hose 1/4" ID in that location and it is a drain for coolant leaks in the heater core [like a tiny radiator].
If the hose is leaking, replace it.
A leak of antifreeze and water from the freeze plugs or from a radiator hose could cause you to find the fluids behind the intake manifold and firewall on your 1995 Toyota Runner. You could begin by checking the hoses to see if all hoses are sealed and clamps are tight.
lower firewall hose connections
Either on the "dryer" which is the bottle shaped item usually next to the radiator or firewall or on the largest diamter a/c hose, not the smaller diameter. You will feel this hose get cold if you are on the right one.
Worst case would be a freeze plug but most likely it is a heater hose or connector where it goes through the firewall. Good luck.
"Does the top or bottom heater hose from the firewall go to the water pump on a 1991 Dodge Dakota V6?" The top heater hose from the firewall goes to the water pump and the bottom hose from the firewall goes to the top of the block where the temperature thermostat housing is located.
