Most of the relationships that Accountants address have a legal basis of existence. The law of contracts, for example, is very important to the CPA. In analyzing a business relationship it is necessary for the CPA to understand the legal relationship, because everything else is a function of it. As an example, I value businesses and business relationships for a living; if I did not have a solid understanding of the legal relationships I would certainly make mistakes every day of my professional life.
