The enmity stems from the belief that there is only one path to God. The Christians hold this belief (no one gets to the Father except through the Son), but the Jews do not hold this belief (the righteous of all nations will have a share in the World to Come).Because of this belief, Christians have persecuted Jews throughout the last 2000 years.Today, the persecution is minor compared to how it was in the past, and when it occurs, it is usually only in the form of harassment.It is important to not that NOT ALL Christians share this belief, and most Christians do not disrespect Jews.
