Biology is the very key to understanding just how the body works, and that includes the brain and central nervous system, two things which need to be thoroughly understood when dealing with complex AI. If you can monitor and begin to understand how the human mind functions, you can almost play god by passing this onto a machine using the same process in a non-biological manner, using code etc instead of the central nervous system.
