∙ 11y agoMost photosynthetic plants use it in the process of cell-respiration - they break down the molecule(s) with the water produced in PS, and use one carbon and oxygen as energy to break down the sugar they produce during PS, finally releasing the extra oxygen back into the environment. This is fortunate, as we breathe oxygen and release CO2, which the plants then use to break down their 'meal' of sugars.

Most life-jackets are filled with CO2, which allows for quick-deflation.
The soda you drink contains CO2, creating the bubbly fizz.
CO2 is used in the production of dry ice, which is either a halloween decoration, or a big chunk of ice that burns you if you touch it. -Shrug-
