Either the clutch master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder or the clutch hydraulic lines are leaking.
dot 3 brakefluid is what a 1996 Chevy camaro takes in the hydrolic clutch fluid resivor
Faulty Clutch Master cylinder.
In the clutch fluid reservoir located under the hood, on the drivers side firewall.
check the clutch fluid or maybe you need to purgue
There is no hydraulic fluid in the transmission. However, there is hydraulic fluid in the clutch system. If the clutch fluid reservoir is empty it would cause clutch not to operate.
It may use the brake fluid
I don't know what model year you own, but on my 09, it says that the clutch system is does not have its own fluid, but is tied into the brake system and its fluid. That makes sense to me, seeing that clutch fluid is merely brake fluid.
it is pumped from the front reservoire.
All you need is BRAKE FLUID, DOT 3 fluid.
If it is a standard transmission you have a hydraulic clutch and on the drivers side , under the hood you will se the windshield wiper linkage just below the windshield . There is a fluid reservoire under it . It is kind of tuff to get to . But it has a black cap and is kinda tucked in.
Look on the engine side of the firewall in front of the clutch pedal. You should see the reservoir there.
The clutch fluid reservoir is located on the firewall close to the brake master cylinder. You can visually see the level unless the reservoir is to dirty.
