Duraluminum was a type of low corrosion and low fatigue Aluminum developed for the aircraft industry.

It was in common use for years.

The material was supplanted by newer alloys but the name persisted until the current composites took over.

Because Duralumin has copper which is a good conductor of electricity wheras

Aluminium is not a very good conductor of electricity.

Because aluminum does not conduct heat, and it is very lightweight
