Answer:

Abiogenesis concerns the origin or start of life. There is currently no generally accepted theory for abiogenesis. There is an RNA world hypothesis, in which RNA was the dominant self replicating molecule before DNA took over. There are also a few other theories. But evolution itself does not incorporate abiogenesis (at this time).

Instead, evolution answers how the diversification of life came about. Darwin was himself unaware of the role genes played in evolution--his work dealt strictly with the non random survival of of randomly varying offspring. But genetics has vastly improved our understanding of the route evolution took.

An Answer:

This is my opinion. Man, in order to feel in control of his life and surroundings, feels that he must be able to explain everything. The theory of evolution gives some people the feeling that all is well because life has an explaination.

Does evolution describe how life began?

No, evolution does not describe how life began. Evolution explains how life forms have changed and adapted over time through the process of natural selection, but it does not address the origin of life itself. The origin of life is a separate field of study known as abiogenesis.

Is evolution going to stop?
