The Garden of Gethsemane, on the Mount of Olives near Jerusalem, was the place where Jesus and the Disciples went following the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday.

Matthew 26:36 and Mark 14:32 tell of Jesus asking the Disciples to watch and pray while he went aside to pray alone. It was also in Gethsemane where the texts say Judas led solders for Christ's betrayal and arrest.
