What is the advantage of a glass coffee mug over a ceramic one?

Coffee mugs are usually made of ceramic earthenware materials instead of glass, because materials such as porcelain retain heat better than glass. If glass gets too hot, it will shatter.

Looking all over, one cannot find the answer to this question. There is no place that has how many black coffee mugs have ever been made, nor how many white coffee mugs have ever been made. There is no way one such as myself could answer this one.

Why you use mirrors as reflectors and not alluminium?

Nearly all modern mirrors are aluminum. An aluminum coating is placed on a sheet of polished glass. In common mirrors we observe this aluminum reflector through the glass layer. But if we turn the mirror around, we can bounce light directly off the aluminum, and this is called a "front surface mirror." (Common mirrors have a coating of hard paint over the thin delicate aluminum coating to prevent scratches.) It's perfectly possible to form a mirror by grinding and polishing a thick aluminum slab. But aluminum is softer than glass, and would collect scratches and dings. Also, aluminum is expensive, so an aluminum mirror costing several dollars might replace a glass mirror costing a few cents.

How much does a glass and aluminum storefront system weigh per square foot?

The glass weighs 6.25lbs per sq. ft. (1" insulated units: 1/4" over 1/4" w/ 1/2" air space). Assume that 1/4" glass weighs 3.125lbs. per sq. ft. On aluminum storefront, i am not certain.

Which coffee cup makes the coffee the warmest?

I am speaking from experience here... When camping, I find a tin (aluminum/aluminium) or pewter cup to make the coffee cool down too quickly because of their good heat absorption. Ceramic cups are good for keeping coffee hot because they don't absorb heat as much. This is why some Formula 1 cars have ceramic engine parts. The same with plastic, Tupperware, melamine, stone and clay. I find that a good, solid glass cup or mug keeps coffee hot for quite a lot longer than any other, especially if you can find something to cover the top and not let the steam escape. I don't mean toughened glass, that's just super Perspex, I mean real sand molten glass. I have used a glass plunger to make espresso that has a chrome lid, a small spout for pouring that a little steam gets out from and can stay quite hot for over an hour. It holds about 3 regular cups of coffee.
