as opposed to acoustic to be heard and get all sorts of different sounds as effects can really alter your sound from space like stuff to echos and distortion.

guitar in general it's a good hobby I suppose I play 2-3 hours a day or at least try to. It's a difficult instrument to learn so because of this you'll always have something to work towards unlike say a brass instrument or whatever I played in middle school.
