I'Ll Dole out the proper answer- at least as far as the United States goes-Pineapples. Dole is the big industrial plantation firm there, they have a huge water tower styled to look like a pineapple and said to be the(World"s largest Pineapple) Sanford A. Dole was the founder of the firm in then monarchist Hawaii. The Dole company sponsored a Transpacific air race in the twenties or thirties called, appropriately the Dole air derby. Owing to a large number of accidents, the program was later (ditched) pun intended and wags called it the Doleful Derby. Accidents are bad for business, making a negative splash! Aloha indeed.
