Christ described it as a small seed that creates a large plant. He compared this to the kingdom of heaven, it would start small with a seed God planted and grow through spreading the word he gave and gaining more believers.

Matthew 17:20: "if you have faith as small as a Mustard Seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Jesus was telling his disciples (and meant for all children of God) that it only needs a bit of faith to move the mountains in your life. Whatever issues and problems we are having we can remove them by speaking to them and commanding them to leave. Matthew 11:23-24, "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

Here is another place where Jesus is giving instructions to speak to the mountain (representing the problems) in your life. Most people pray to God about the problem instead of speaking to the problem. Instead we are instructed to speak TO the problems directly and tell them where to go.

Tell sickness "go, in Jesus name." Insecurities, "leave me alone, in Jesus name." "Headache, get off my body."

Then we need to command our bodies to line up with the the promises in God's word.

"Body, be healthy," "marriage, be blessed."

Proverbs 18:21, "death and life are in the power of the tongue."

James 3 also says that as a rutter steers a big ship, and as a bridal tells the horse where to go. So does our mouth and words stear your life and the direction you will go in.

Words are important, they have power. If we are God's children (by asking Jesus into your heart) not only will you go to heaven when we pass away, but our words will carry loads of power and authority just like God's does. God spoke the world into existence Gen 1. We are created to his image and he wants us to imitate him Ephesians 5:1.

So we first need to ask God to come into our heart, and you will be adopted into his family as one of his children. Then we need to recognize that as his child we have the power to change our lives by the words that we speak. As we continue to speak goodness over our lives, we will experience the goodness.

Be blessed

What did Jesus say was the seed to the kingdom of heaven?

Jesus didn't say anything was the seed to the kingdom of heaven. He did say (talking about the parable of the sower) that the seed was the "word of God"Luk 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.And this seed comparison:Matthew 13:31New King James Version (NKJV) The Parable of the Mustard Seed31 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, Another Answer:In the thirteenth chapter of Matthew's gospel we find what are known as the seven parables of the kingdom. In three of the parables the Lord speaks of seed, and in every parable in means something different. In the first parable, Jesus himself explains, comparing various types of people receiving the word of the kingdom to various types of ground receiving the seed, the seed here is clearly the word of the kingdom or the gospel. In the second parable, the parable of the tares and the wheat, the Lord is even more direct , Matthew 13:38 - "the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one"In the third parable of the kingdom, Jesus likens the kingdom of heaven to a mustard seed that a man planted in the field, but there is no explanation given. From the previous parables we can tell that the sower is Jesus Christ, the field is the world. We are not told explicitly what exactly the mustard seed is, but it is something that Jesus planted in the world, and it grew to an enormous size. It is my personal view that since mustard seed is used to describe faith (Mat 17:20, Luk17:6) and an illustration the Lord gives of himself in John 12:24 as a grain of wheat that falls into the ground and dies in order to produce much fruit, that the mustard seed here is faith in the vicarious death of Jesus Christ from which faith stem all the branches of this tree.

The word "prayer" is mentioned 128 times in the KJV. But prayer is more than just knowing how many times it is mentioned. God wants you to pray more than once for something. Keep praying, and meditate on your prayer. Believe that your prayer will be answered. Believing that Jesus is Christ. Remember have faith that your prayer will be answered. Faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. Matthew 17:20 KJV And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Can excess of mustard be dangerous?

I suppose it can, yes. Hi I am here to say I take in about 7 oz of mustard a day. As long as you eat it through your mouth you should be fine. I use to drink mustard straight out of the bottle (I know its gross but the reason I do not do it now is because I grew up.) I am 25 now and I have been consuming large doses of mustard since I was 7. I am perfectly fine and healthy and believe it or not mustard is one of the healthiest condiments.
