In homeschool, a child is with someone who knows them. In public school, the teacher deals with many other students.
In homeschool, the child learns at their own pace. In public school, it's either the smarter having to wait for the less smart to figure it out and learning less than they could, or the people that don't understand yet left confused as the teacher moves on.
In homeschool, you can get help when you need it. What happens when your homework confuses you in public school and your parents can't help?
In homeschool, you can develop your talents. In public school, the future artist and the math geek who can't draw a straight line get the same lessons.
In homeschool, your parents can teach you how to behave around others. In public school, you get the list of rules. Is the list of rules going to stop the three jock kids beating up the one weak nerd? No, the list of rules is going to hang on the wall, unresponsive, while nobody is in the hallway.
In homeschool, you still have a social life. Public school is where talking gets you yelled at. After school is when you can be with your friends.
In homeschool, the chances of cheating on a test decrease since there's nobody to get the answers from.
In homeschool, answers will be given faster.
In homeschool, you're not 'some kid from one of my Math classes.' You're 'my son/daughter, who I happen to teach.'
In homeschool, it's easier to make everyone care about the subject and explain it to everyone individually- there's only one person to explain it all to. In public school, saying it in a good way for everyone would have high schoolers just discovering long division and struggling to read this answer in the average class of thirty.
And guess what happens when you're all from different elementary schools? That's right, all the new middle schoolers that knew this in fourth grade sit through the explanation with the kids who don't know this.
Yes, home school saves time, energy, and money. Keep in mind however that home schooling a child will take disipline on the part of you and your child.
yes , school is better than .
They are in daycare at 2, not school. As long as they are activated at home and plays with other kids so they learn how to interact they can be home.
I reckon that public schools are better. Although Home-schooling gives one to one tuition, a public school school also builds up a social background and life. I agree.
Depends on what kind of private school it is.
Depends on the teachers and students in public schools. Home school makes you learn math, science, and english online. It is free because you do not have pay money for public school field trips.
The FOUNDATION public school. You'll get more experience and INFORMATION WITHOUT GETTING BORED!!! city school is far better better than foundation school
yes they do sometimes, Atherton high school in louisville is a public school and they are way better than St X or trinity
Because your not a anti social
Coming from someone who has been in both institutions, there are advantages and disadvantages to either of them. Home schooling is great because you learn how to learn on your own, and you learn at your own pace, however fast or slow that might be, without a whole classroom of people to either discourage you or slow you down. Another advantage to homeschooling is the one on one time you have with your teacher. You will never be embarrassed to answer questions again! The advantages of public school include social interaction with other children, which is lacking in the home school version, but can be supplemented with after school activities and programs. Also public schools will tend to have better facilities such as science labs and auditoriums and gym equipment. This is also lacking in the home side of things, but can also be supplemented by attending community college and with a gym membership. Also, depending on the public school and how well your mom can teach, you may get a better level of education at home than you would at a public school. In my case, my mother was a certified teacher. She taught me so well I went on to college and took my education to it's fullest fruition! but i was in public school and thought i hated it until my mom pulled me out, made me live with her and go to home school now i think public school is WAY better
yes it is better to go to a private school than a public school. these types of colleges look at who has a better education to give scholarships to because if they give a scholarship to a student they want the student to do good.
Statisticly home schooled children do better on standarized tests then public school children. However on an individual bases, an indivdual student's success depends on the quality of the education they personaly get. There is no such reliable data to prove that home schooling children achieve better scores than those who take public schooling. At the same time if the parent are able to teach all subjects and if they have enough spare time then they can stimulte their child to do better.
