I assume this is a reference to the movie Pulp Fiction where Jules asks what Quarter Pounder With Cheese is called in France. Of course in a French McDonald's one would not simply come to the counter and announce "A Royale With Cheese". Rather one might say "Je voudrais une Royale Avec Fromage, s'il vous plait." I would like a Quarter Pounder With Cheese please".
