To understand what it is difficult to walk on sand we need to know how do we walk?
Walking is a process where we put pressure on earth and when one of our legs is pressing the earth hard we take our other leg in air and take a step.
This process is ok with hard earth but if we are on sand, our leg started going down inside sand and that is why we feel hard to walk on sand.
This is because sand yields under the weight of the personwalking on it. This difficulty can be overcome by placing a wooden plank on the sand. Then the weight of the man will act on larger area and hence pressure exerted on sand decreases

The camel has broad foot pads that spread out when it walks. These pads are similar to snowshoes in the support they provide to camels on soft sand. Horses have a much smaller area that does not expand. As they put their weight on a hoof, the horse's foot will plunge into the sand.
Any plant will grow in the sand if it is watered (mechanically, if need be) according to the plants needs. If you mean "what herbs grow in the sand naturally?" .... I have seen Datura aka jimsonweed grow in the sand... of course there are lots of herbs on this list. Also, did you mean medicinal herbs?
the ground is soggy
The high heels sink into the sand.
It is hard to walk on sand as - first we need to understand how we walk. every action has an equal opposite reaction (i.e. when we walk on earth we put a certain amount of force on the ground that reverts that force back on us) but when we walk on sand it is not hard and soft we fall into it and it doesn't give us and EQUAL opposite reaction.
When you walk on sand two thing happen that makes it hard to walk 1. the ground is uneven making you feet shift and slip 2. sand gets on you foot causing resistance. hope this helps!
Sand has a very low bearing capacity. Hence, your feet tend to sink into it.While walking, you have to continually 'dig' yourself out of the sand with every step you take.
Antlions have huge mandile which makes it difficult to walk so it walk backwards dragging the mandible and also makes doodles on the sand giving them the name doodlebug.
you turn into sand
sand or soil
Yes.
Because the sand dunes have no support under them.
due no reaction from the ground (i.e.,sand)
As the dry sand is loosely packed/coupled with each other thus the substancial force which are required to hold each granual is less as compared to the wet sand. when the sand is wet the forces of attraction increases as the each granual of the sand is easily coupled increasing the substancial force. thus a person can walk over wet sand rather than on a dry sand
It is difficult to walk on an icy road, because your feet keep slipping on the ice.
