It isn't easy to hunt male pheasants. Wild birds can run very quickly through dense cover or hunch down and remain still and unseen. I've seen many a flushed bird land and "know" right where they are - only they're not there when I get there.
Now male pheasants certainly are easy to spot in bleached out grasses or corn rows. The flash of red/white/green is unmistakeable. But it certinaly ain't 'easy' to hunt them. It is however a TON of fun.

Yes pheasants do hunt but we wouldn't think of it as hunting. They normally like to hunt bugs. see told you you wouldn't think it was hunting but it is a living thing and they do eat it so there for they have to hunt it.
