If the fuse won't fit then you have the wrong size fuse. They make several different sizes and amps.
When changing fuses it is important to have a diagram to help change the right fuse. The fuse box diagram for this car can be found in the owners manual.
In the USA (110 voly supply) you should fit a 5 amp fuse. In Britain or Europe (230 volt supply) you should fit a 3 amp fuse.

There are fuses for almost every thing on your car, the fuse you are looking for is in the engine compartment. There is a fuse box I believe it is on the right of the engine compartment. The fuse will be marked for ease of replacement. Look under the fuse cover for the right fuse.

The internal fuse box should be just to the left of the clutch. It's a tight fit, but if you put your head down by the pedals and look to your left, that's where you will find it. The other fuse box is under the hood right next to the battery.
