Spyware is software that gets downloaded to the computer for the purpose of spying on the user. You should keep your computer free of it because anything you type as well as any information that is on the computer can be transmitted back to the creator of the spyware. Spyware can also contain viruses as well.

Where can you get free spydoctor or spyware?

I would go with SuperAntiSpyware or MalwareBytes. You can get SuperAntiSpyware by going to atotalnetworksolution.com, then go to the Anti-Spyware page. Free anti-malware products do not keep your computer from getting infected, they clean up after the fact. Paid products do active scanning and keep the machine from getting infected.

Why do you have to continually run Microsoft anti-spyware or spybot sd to remove adware spyware and stuff from your computer and how do they keep coming back and is there a way to keep them out?

There are plenty of ways to keep spyware out. An important one is to keep your version of windows updated. You can do this by going to : http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com Also make sure that you keep Spybot SD updated. You can check for updates right in the SD program. In SD there should be a button the left called Immunize. Make sure you immunize your computer, this prevents spyware from getting on in the first place. Also, go to http://toolbar.google.com And install the google toolbar. This has a built-in popup blocker that help minimize your spyware. Personally, I would get rid of MS Antispy. I don't think it's worth it.

How do you identify spy ware on your computer?

Detecting Spyware If you think you may have unwanted spyware programs running on your computer there are several things that you can look for: A slow and sluggish PC, lot's of unwanted popup windows, new desktop icons, or strange toolbars in your browser can all indicate that you may have a spyware infection on your computer. If you don't do anything to fix the problem the spyware will continue to spread and soon you'll have a real problem on your hands. Let's see what can be done to remove the spyware from your computer and keep it from coming back in the future. Where Spyware Comes From Where did this spyware come from in the first place? Spyware can come from a variety of sources: filesharing sites, mp3 downloads, malicious web sites, or email attachments can all contain spyware and install themselves without warning on your computer. This can happen to anyone, even experienced computer users. Even if you are running anti-virus software and a good firewall you can still be infected. Some spyware will deactivate these programs and leave you totally exposed without you even realizing it! Luckily you can remove spyware yourself in minutes. There's no longer a need to take your computer into the shop for costly repairs or high pressure sales tactics. How to Remove Spyware Spyware remover programs are often free to download and do a great job of scanning for and removing spyware on your computer. They work by scanning the files on your computer and comparing them to database of known spyware. These databases are constantly being updated with the latest spyware and security threats. Regular spyware scans and updates will ensure that you are safe from malicious programs and will keep your computer spyware free. Many anti-spware programs have a real time "guard" feature. The program runs quietly in the background always on the lookout for harmful files. It's a great feature to look for and works very much like an anti-virus program. http://www.sharewarerating.com/spyware-doctor-reviews

Can malaware slow your computer down?

The simple answer to this questions is YES. Malware stands for "Malicious Software" and is designed to get into your computer without you knowing about it and perform its malicious actions. A lot of different types of "bad programs" are grouped under the category of malware like Trojan horses, rootkits, worms, spyware etc... Once it is in your computer it will usually do many things but almost always what will happen is that it will create a program that will take up your computers resources which will make it slower. To make matters even worse, some malware programs will actually spawn other programs periodically which will actually take up more of your resources. This is why it is very important that you keep your computer free from any form of viruses, spyware and malware by having a good anti-virus protection and good malware/spyware protection. For Anti-Virus I personally use ESET NOD32 AntiVirus, but the only problem with that program is that you have to pay for it. If you want a free one that is pretty good check out AVG Anti-Virus (just do a Google search for them, their website should come up first). In terms of malware protection I use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and for spyware protection I use Spyware Blaster. Both of these programs are free and you can find them by simply doing a Google search for them. So the overall answer is yes, malware can slow down your computer, but there are also a lot of other factors that can slow down your computer. I personally specialize in speeding up slow computers and if you are interested in that topic, then feel free to check out my bio page by clicking on my username - I have a lot of free information on there.
