That gift was given to Adam and Eve, but they turned their back on God's requirements. Genesis chapter 3 is mankind's history. God's promises that will come true are: No more war. read Psalm 46: 9 No more sickness. Read Isaiah 33: 24 No more food shortage. Read Psalm 72: 16 No more pain, sorrow, and death. Read Revelation 21: 4 Does all of this sound too good to be true? Though most people would readily agree that life as promised and described in the Bible is truly desirable, for various reasons many find the idea of living forever difficult to comprehend. That is not surprising, for no fellow human has ever experienced life like that to tell us about it. However Genesis 2: 17 shows that Adam was given that choice. Adam knew that if he did not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and bad he would not have died. That command would have made no sense if Adam was meant to grow old and die anyway. His living forever on earth was in his creator's hands. Our living forever is also in God's hands and He has done everything in His power to make his purpose come true, when he sent his only begotten Son to redeem the human race from the curse of sin and death and to undo the damage caused by Satan who deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden of E'den. John 3. 16 reads. " For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." Humankind has been enslaved by sin and death and has laboured under the burden of pain, suffering, and adversity for so long that many people have come to accept this way of life as normal or natural. But that is far from what our Creator, Jehovah God, purposed for mankind. So to answer your question which is " What is the importance of knowing God's will? The answer is: knowing God's will is lifesaving with a bright future in sight.
