The last person who signs to rent that vehicle is responsible for damage. If the car is already damaged from a previous driver, you could be blamed if not noted on your contract. So walk around the vehicle first. Note any scratches or dents and the exact locations, length of scratch, whether the damage has missing paint, etc. Write those damages ON the contract BEFORE you sign the contract. Be sure to check trunk, hood, the door panels, etc. If you notice damage when you get into the car, do not leave the lot. Go back in and ask them to get your contract back out and add those damages-- then both the agent and you should initial the additional damages. If they refuse to initial it, then ask for a Supervisor or manager. Refuse to take a car unless all previous damage is written onto your contract, signed and initialed by the Rental agency employee.

If a car dealer wants you to redo the paperwork, you are not required to do so unless (a) you know that the redoing of the paperwork will help you relative to the interest rate or price of the vehicle that you are purchasing or (b) the paperwork was done in such a way that your credit or identity may be negatively impacted. Ask the dealer to give you the specific reason why they want to redo the paperwork and have them show you the fault. You are also able to say, "I want to speak with my financial advisor before doing so, and you should still be able to leave with the vehicle. If all else fails, the three (3) day lemon law states that if you are not happy with the vehicle that you purchased, you may return the vehicle to the dealer at no cost to you - the action will make your loan null-and-void.
In general, a couple is considered married once their union has been solemnized by the Officiant (Pastor/Minister/Justice of the Peace/etc). This is done by signing the paperwork after the ceremony. The ceremony itself is nice and all, but signing the paperwork is what makes it legally recognized. If the husband drops dead after the ceremony but before the signing, the marriage MIGHT be contestable. If the husband dies after the signing, the new wife is certainly in the line of legally recognized heirs...if the husband has no pre-existing will. Most of this will vary a bit from state to state, of course.

NOT a good idea to do that. By signing that paperwork you acknowledge that you actually have received whatever is stipulated in the will. If the Executor does not follow through and give you your inheritance, you will be on weak legal ground when trying to claim it.
